Admissions Application
Application deadline for Fall 2008 admission is January 1, 2008.
A complete application consists of:
- Application form and fee.
- Personal statement (why you wish to study at the University of Illinois).
- A sample of your written work (such as a paper written for a Political Science class).
- Transcripts of all universities attended (whether or not a degree was awarded).
- A minimum of 3 letters of reference.
- GRE score report.
- TOEFL score report (If English is not your first language).
Applicants should submit all application materials, except for transcripts, through the UIUC Graduate College's online application process. Please do not mail them to our department. Please encourage your references to submit their letters of recommendation through this process when prompted by email to do so, as well, but if they prefer not to do so, they may send their letters to the address for transcripts below.
